    Tips:

    • A camping cooler with 6 inches of warm water in the bottom is perfect for moistening pre-pasted wallpaper.

    • A rolled up piece of rye bread or an artist's kneaded eraser will do a good job of cleaning marks off of non-washable wallpapers.

    • If you have a large area to wallpaper and someone to help you move quickly, consider using a medium-nap paint roller and pan instead of a paste brush for applying paste.

    • If you're having trouble finding a match for nonstandard molding, take a look around your home. Often you can replace closet molding with a standard style and use the good stuff in a more visible location.

    • Stepladder makes a convenient drying rack for freshly painted moldings and trim.

    • Before installing paneling, paint the area behind the seams with flat black spray paint. If the paneling ever shrinks or moves, the gap will remain invisible.
