    Topics covered on today's episode:

Using drywall compound to repair plaster

    Removing paneling

Removing wallpaper and filling seams of walls in a mobile home

    Filling large patches in drywall

    Moving a wall

    Tightening double-pane window

    Preventing condensation on windows

Short-term fix for old windows that condense profusely

Replacing a pane of glass in a double-paned window

Removing paint from a window screen

    Removing glue from a countertop

    Tips

    • Clamp a pair of straightedge boards in place to serve as a saw guide. They'll keep your jigsaw on the straight and narrow when cutting thin sheet materials.

    • Don't waste your productive years: paint or stain your new crown molding before installing it.

    • Paint or stain the tongues of new tongue-and-groove planking before installation or else unpainted tongues may show as the planks shrink.

    • Softening paint splatters with hot vinegar before scraping them off gently with a razor blade will ease the pain of window cleanup.

    • To keep your house cooler in the summer, install shades, awnings or screens on windows facing south and/or west to block the light.

    • Always carry and store glass in an upright position. Otherwise the glass may break under the force of its own weight.
